A1 One Income Tax Service, Inc. is committed to making our website accessible to people of all abilities, including people with disabilities. We want every visitor to be able to find our services, understand our information, and request an appointment without barriers.
Standard We Follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), are the internationally recognized standard for making web content accessible, and they are the benchmark commonly referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Conformance Status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that most of the content meets the standard, but we have not yet completed testing with every assistive technology, and some areas may still fall short.
We describe our status this way because we believe it is more useful to you than a blanket claim of full compliance. Accessibility is ongoing work, not a box we check once.
What We Have Done
Our website has been reviewed and updated to improve accessibility. Steps taken include:
- Choosing text and background colors that meet WCAG AA contrast requirements, so text remains readable for people with low vision or color vision deficiency
- Making every interactive element — including menus, buttons, and the frequently asked questions section — fully operable with a keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse
- Providing a clearly visible focus indicator so keyboard users can always see where they are on the page
- Adding a "Skip to main content" link so people using keyboards or screen readers can bypass repeated navigation
- Writing descriptive text alternatives for images, and hiding purely decorative icons from screen readers so they do not create clutter
- Using correct heading structure and page landmarks so screen reader users can navigate the page efficiently
- Labeling every form field, clearly identifying required fields, and enabling browser autofill for name, phone, and email
- Respecting the "reduce motion" setting for visitors who are sensitive to movement and animation
- Building the site to work at different screen sizes and zoom levels, including on phones and tablets
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some limitations remain. We are aware of the following:
- Embedded map. Our location map is provided by Google Maps, a third-party service whose accessibility we do not control. Our full street address is also written in plain text on the page, so you never need to use the map to get that information.
- Assistive technology testing. We have tested with automated tools and keyboard navigation, but have not completed a full review with every screen reader and assistive technology combination.
